【剧情简介】

苏珊娜凯森是一名普通的美国少女，可是在1967年她17岁那年却被作为精神错乱而被父母送进了精神病院，她感到她周围的这个世界实在变化太快而精神饱受压力，最终她被精神病医生确定为“边缘精神错乱证”。
在精神病院，苏珊娜结识了莉莎、戴西、乔治娜、珀丽以及詹妮特等一班不寻常的女性，她们不仅成为了苏珊最要好的朋友，而且带领苏珊娜经历了一场精神之旅，使她寻找到了自己失去的东西--自我。
本片根据苏珊娜凯森的自传体小说改编而成，由美丽动人的薇诺娜瑞德主演。早在1993年21岁的薇诺娜就读到了苏珊娜的这本小说，并深深地被其吸引。当哥伦比亚公司买下这部书的拍摄权后，薇诺娜主动请缨要求出任女主角，可以说正是由于薇诺娜的参加，才真正促成本片的拍摄。
